For plumbers, electricians and roofers

It answers, sorts and books. You get on with your day.

01

Answers while you are on the tools

Gets the name, the address, the problem and how urgent it is, and books it in.

02

No more "call me back" messages

Every call ends with an email summary you can act on from the van.

03

Emergencies go to you

A burst pipe at 9pm is put through. A quote can wait until the morning.

On the tools

Hands full, phone in the van. The caller does not leave a message, they ring the next number on the search page.

Between jobs

You call back an hour later and they have already booked someone else.

After six

Evenings and weekends are when people find the leak. Your voicemail takes the call, if they bother to leave one.

  2. Caller: My boiler keeps losing pressure. Can someone come and look at it?
  3. Maya: Yes. Is the heating working at the moment, or is it off completely?
  4. Caller: It works if I top it up, but it drops again by the evening.
  5. Maya: Thanks. What is your postcode, and is tomorrow afternoon any good?
  6. Caller: WF1 4AB. Tomorrow is fine.
  7. Maya: Booked for tomorrow afternoon. The engineer will have your details in a few minutes.

FAQ

What plumbers, electricians and roofers ask us.

What happens with a real emergency?

You decide what counts as urgent: a leak, no heating, no power. Those calls are put through to your mobile or whoever is on call. Everything else is booked in or taken as a message.

Can it give prices?

Only the prices you give it, such as your call-out charge. Anything else it takes the details for and says you will come back with a quote.

Do I need anything technical?

No. Forward your number to Halo, or take a new one. Setup takes about five minutes.

Will my customers know it is not me?

It introduces itself as your assistant, and you choose how it says so. Most callers just want the job booked.

How does the free trial work?

Every plan starts with 30 days free. Cancel during the trial from your dashboard and you pay nothing.

Who is behind Halo?

Halo is built and run by Onecom, a UK business communications provider.
